.:.:.one.:.:.

So, as I sit here watching Family Guy eating Ramen noodles....yep, that's how I decided to start my first blog post, the typical "poor college kid" intro, but hey, it's accurate. I don't know why I decided to start a blog now. Maybe it's because I like talking....a lot....and this way my boyfriend won't get that glazed over look in his eyes when I talk about that new shirt I saw, or how I wished I could grow my nails out, or how that new dog video on Facebook made me laugh so hard I peed a little...yeah so um, you get the idea. Honestly though, I think I mainly started this blog for myself. I want to be able to look back and see what life was like when I was a "poor college kid." I complain at least 27 times a day about it now, but I have a feeling the 40 year old pageant moms have showed us one thing, you can never get the good ole days back. And besides the joyous, nostalgic pastimes I'll get to enjoy years down the road, if I could make one person smile, or think a little bit deeper, or hey, even prevent one more Facebook post cleverly applying song lyrics to the specific trials of your oh so trying life, then I've made the world a better place. Well, I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Ashley and I hate long walks on the beach. No seriously, they suck. The wind is blowing like crazy right there by the ocean, frizzing up your hair and junk, and it never fails that during your romantic frolic a monster wave comes up and gets your clothes all wet. Oh, and did I mention the LONG WALK part? Long walks are bad enough, but in the sand?! Who likes to walk in sand? Maybe professional soccer players with calves that can crack walnuts, but this girl doesn't really like the lower half of her body to feel like a noodle after a romantic "walk", so sorry. But...I digress. I am basically your typical 23 year old. I love my boyfriend to death...no really, half the time I am trying to keep myself from strangling him...with love of course....yeah strangling him with love....I love my family, and most importantly I love Jesus. No, I'm not the "at church every time they open the door, you're going to hell for cursing, in yo facee" type of Christian. I'm more the "I love Jesus, he saved my soul, I try to show His love to others" type. Also, I should mention I get way too obsessed with things for short periods of time, I love anything free....seriously, like anything, but basically I just try to keep laughing at myself and others, as much as possible. So, that's me, enjoy.
